Aisha Jamila Hinds, an American actress who is best recognized for her appearances in TV series The Shield and True Blood. Since her first appearance in 2003 she has proved her ability as an actress, delivering stunning performances on television shows like 9-1-1 Detroit 1-8-7, and Under the Dome. She was first noticed for her role as Anna in the 2005 movie Assault on Precinct 13. Her performance in the biographical film All the Way as the feminist activist Fannie Lou Hammer attracted the attention of the public. Hind also earned high praise for her role as Harriet Tubman on WGN America's dramatic period drama series Underground.
